The Fish
Well, we have had a few of you ask about new fish. We bought some new fish and de-chlorinated the water. Everything worked out beautifully. Unfortunately, we have since lost both fish. One of them lasted 4 days and the other lasted 6. We have no idea what’s going on, but have decided to take a hiatus from raising fish. The kids have asked for a dog and I really don't think we have a good enough track record.

Let me just add my 2 cents and say that getting a dog would be like pending triplets! Seriously!!!
The fish story is crazy!! I can't wait to find out what you guys are having!!
My suggestion is to wait on a dog until you are no longer having to change diapers..at least until then if not longer. This is coming from someone who was talked into 2 dogs and 4 sugar gliders. Not to mention we all ready have a cat!!
Jake and I were in the same boat you are with fish....the only fish we got that ever lived was our beta fish (they are hard to kill) but he has since passed as well. We also decided just to stick with a dog! However, having a dog IS like having another child!
Ok - a dog is quite a step up from a fish. I'm sure they would love one. I get told or asked daily by Mackenzie about having a puppy Not happening here, at least for a long while. Good luck with fighting those boys off! :)
